Kapok

The Kapok plant has had immense cultural significance for many Mesoamerican civilizations. For the Aztecs and the Mayas, the tree on which the Kapok grew on was believed to be the link between Heaven, Earth, and the world believed to exist below. Because of this flow between worlds, the flower is a symbol of positive change and open communication.
