Carnation

The carnation flower has long been a symbol of gratitude, admiration, and love. In Greek mythology, this flower was known as "The Flower of Gods," and according to Christian legend, carnations grew after Jesus' crucifixion in the spots where Mary's tears fell to the earth. Because of this, the carnation flower is often associated with motherly love.
